Preferably while listening to Ace of Base and sipping a cosmopolitan. It was my favorite thing I wrote all year, in one of my dream outlets, and I still can’t believe I pulled it off by sending an enthusiastic-yet-rushed pitch while on vacation in Mexico. However, I think this is a good lesson for me and for you—we don’t have to belabor every single pitch. A strong idea is sometimes enough to carry us through to the next round.
